Puzzled by this " Direct Write "
I came across this article " http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd371554%28VS.85%29.aspx " It says - DirectWrite uses OpenType fonts to enable broad support for international text. Unicode features such as surrogates, BIDI, line breaking, and UVS are supported. Language-guided script itemization, number substitution, and glyph shaping ensure that text in any script has the correct layout and rendering. The following scripts are currently supported: Note For scripts marked with an *, there are no default system fonts. Applications must install fonts that support these scripts. There are long lists and found Myanmar language has no * , thus has default system font in Windows 7. What's the name of that default Myanmar font in there ? ( I know only Padauk ttf ver 2.4 , Myanmar 3 ttf and Parabaik ttf are fully and truly compliant to Unicode 5.1 encoding .) Thank you
